I am 58 years old and a wannabe writer. I have been an educator… for special needs and gifted/talented students. I was also in sales for several years and thoroughly enjoyed the competive nature of this job and the fruits of my labor. I have been married for 38 years to my childhood sweetheart, AND just as happy as the day I married him….more so! I am slightly frustrated with our world today…but, hopeful that things will turn around in the future. There is a lack of concern, compassion, and consideration for others that is so evident in today’s society. I feel that what we hear, see, and envision…either in the social or religious spectrum of our belief system……information that directly affects and forms our opportunity to make reasonable and educated choices. Too much of what happens today is a direct reflection of the negative influence of people, cultures, life styles, and situational circumstances that influence people to simply “accept”. I have learned to be open minded, thoughtful, and considerate of others…both, their opinions and their cultures. Yet, I have also learned that tolerance is something I am willing to give when I feel justified in doing so. My hope in life is for world peace, tolerance of diverse cultures, and for a brighter tomorrow for all mankind.
